They have voluntarily surrendered a number of freedoms such as union representation, overtime pay, the right to not turn up for work, employment tribunals and other legal and human rights that are taken completely for granted by civilian society.
The Forces Pension Society advocates their entitlement to pensions that reflect their commitment. We believe passionately that Service pensions must, at the very least, be as good as those of other public sector workers.
We campaign for Service pensions rights in general and support and advise individual members in their fight for the pensions they should rightfully be receiving.
We welcome membership from all retired and serving personnel of the Armed Forces including the Reserves and their relatives, widows or widowers, dependants and civil partners. For full details see the member’s rules in the member application section of this website.
